CCTV released after girl, 16, ‘sexually assaulted by man who followed her off the bus and onto train’ at busy station

A TEENAGE girl has allegedly been sexually assaulted by a man who followed her on a bus and a train in a busy city centre. The 16-year-old was reportedly followed by a man as she boarded a bus to Abbey Wood underground station, London, on Wednesday, July 8. She then reportedly boarded an Elizabeth Line train from Abbey Wood to Tottenham Court Road. Police said the man was looking at her as she boarded the bus at around 12.40pm before following her to the station and onto a train. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! The suspect then reportedly got off the train at the same stop as the teen. He is then alleged to have approached the young girl before sexually assaulting her and walking off. Police have now released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. The British Transport Police said: “Detectives would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information which could help their investigation. “Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 119 of 9 July. “Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.” Most read in The Sun
