Carlos Alcaraz Debuted New Travis Scott Nikes at the US Open

After taking the summer off to recover from a wrist injury, Carlos Alcaraz’s big return to tennis is making headlines beyond his play. The 23-year-old superstar, who made our list of the most stylish men’s tennis players of all time, has unveiled a whole new look at the 2026 US Open. There’s his flowing hair, a far cry from last year’s platinum buzz cut. And there was his purple-and-orange basketball-ish jersey from Nike, which he wore while playing mixed doubles with Serena Williams. That seemed certain to be his kit for the rest of his run at Flushing Meadows, but the seven-time Grand Slam winner had a few more tricks up his sleeve for the men’s singles tournament.A few hours ago, Nike dropped a dimly-lit promo starring frequent Swoosh collaborator Travis Scott. The clip features intermittent closeups of Scott, a flint-sparking lighter, and Alcaraz himself, with a voiceover hyping up the Spaniard’s on-court focus and skill. “You can either crash and burn, or burn it all down,” Scott says in the video. “But, shit, knowing you? The only way you come in cold is to come in hot.”Not long after that, Alcaraz took to Arthur Ashe Stadium for his first-round match against Roman Safiullin. His perforated basketball jersey was long gone. Officially dubbed the Travis Scott x Cactus Jack x Nike Zoom Vapor 12 HC—in a “pale ivory/cacao” colorway—they bring the former’s highly recognized reverse Swoosh to high-performance tennis shoes.
