MANILA, Philippines — Manuel Tagle Sr., the father of Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 6. Tagle Sr. died at 7:09 a.m. He was 96. The CBCP News said the cardinal, who is serving as pro-prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Evangelization, was in Rome when his father breathed his last.
