The actor was injured while shooting an intense action sequence for Kabir Khan’s untitled sports drama, underwent surgery at a Mumbai hospital, and is now recovering at home. Aaryan suffered the injury on August 18 during the final two days of the shoot and was immediately admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim as he required knee surgery. He was shooting an intense action scene when he was injured.Apart from starring in the untitled sports drama, Aaryan is also making his debut as a producer with the film under his own banner. Reports had suggested that his injury could force a postponement in the shooting schedule, but Kabir Khan dismissed the speculation.The project marks Aaryan and Kabir Khan’s second collaboration after Chandu Champion (2024). The film is inspired by a real-life sporting story, with Aaryan set to play a kickboxing coach who mentors a young girl from Kashmir. The film is reportedly inspired by the journey of Tajamul Islam, the Kashmiri kickboxing champion who gained international recognition for her achievements in the sport.Aaryan will next be seen in Naagzilla, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba.
