Following Cape Verde’s 3-2 defeat to Argentina, Vozinha’s future came under the microscope. The experienced stopper found himself out of contract following a spell at Portuguese second-tier side Chaves. It appeared that Colo-Colo had won the race for his signature, even announcing the transfer. But doubt was dramatically cast upon the move as a reporter claimed that Moroccan side Berkane wanted to hijack the deal. Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano has assured fans that Vozinha will in fact be signing for Colo-Colo. And Romano even posted a picture of Vozinha on the plane to Chile, ready to complete the move. But his new club will not be able to capitalise on his fame by selling “Vozinha” shirts. League rules are set to prohibit use of the name on the back of the keeper’s top. Instead Vozinha, full name Josimar Jose Evora Dias, will have to wear either “Evora”, “Dias” or “Evora Dias”. Comment now
