Sign in to your TheGamer account When you begin a game of Big Walk, you'll drop into the world as a strange little creature, some three-tiered hybrid of a bird and bug that you'll use to explore the great world out there with your friends in this walker-talker title. If you'd like to stand out from the crowd, though, and change how the game has randomized your character when you spawn into the world, there are ways to change how you look in Big Walk - you'll just need to make sure one of your group mates comes along, too, since you can't do it alone. Customization Overview Salon Location When you first start a new game of Big Walk with your friends, you'll be dropped off in a playground area of sorts that acts as a central hub. This is where you'll spawn in when you save, quit, and play another time as well, so you'll become quite familiar with the central hub base for the game. When you leave the playground and emerge out onto the Outback for the first time, you'll see quite a few points of interest. From the exit to the hub, you'll be able to see several of the parts of the first section's puzzles, the ones that unlock the bridge to the rest of the island and opens the entirety of the game to you, but there are other things to notice as well. You can also see the Salon from the hub, and it's somewhat hard to miss. It's a bright green building between your starting hub and the beach where you'll find the bridge to the island proper, and you'll even find it lit up at night. It also makes an easy meet-up spot if the group gets separated and struggles to find one another through proximity chat! How To Customize Your Character Head down to the Salon from the starting area by trekking toward the beach, and you'll see a full setup amid the colorful walls when you arrive. The Salon in Big Walk includes: A hanging color palette that almost looks reminiscent of an eyeshadow palette, which comes with 21 colors to use to customize your character in Big Walk. You can put one color on each of the three sections of your body, leading to endless color combinations! Three additional metallic colors unlock as an end-game puzzle that lead to you earning an achievement when you use them. An oversized paintbrush next to the wall of colors, which you'll be able to pick up and use to change your appearance. A large mirror in the corner, so you can check out the handiwork once it's finished to ensure you look how you'd like. Once you arrive, you can choose any combination of the 21 colors available by default in Big Walk, but the caveat is that you can't paint yourself; someone in your group has to paint you. This will be something of an introduction to learning to communicate effectively with the people in your group as you dictate which colors go where. How will you describe the colors, and how will your teammates interpret them? It's an early exercise in working together toward a common goal! Check out their work in the mirror and make any finishing touches or alterations, then be sure to return the favor before you head off for your next adventure. Given that you spawn in the hub, you'll be able to change your appearance anytime you begin playing Big Walk.
