Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, and Cam Boozer have been widely discussed as the top three prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft, former UNC star Caleb Wilson has also staked his claim as a top-tier prospect.While Wilson suffered a broken thumb that put him out for the remainder of the season in March, he firmly has his eyes set on his NBA future.In an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio, he detailed some of the players that he watches on film and finds some level of inspiration in as a player.“Probably a lot of Kobe. A whole bunch of Kobe. That was my dad's favorite player, and mine's too. Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace too, the Bad Boy Pistons. And then, I watch a lot of [Michael Jordan] too. I mean, lately I've been watching [Giannis Antetokounmpo] a lot, 'cause I feel like the closer and closer I get to the NBA, my athleticism and my size kinda translates me to his skill set. So I watch a lot of him, but that's pretty much it.”The players that Wilson has been studying definitely translate to his game. In his freshman season at UNC, he averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists. While he's not an efficient three-point shooter, at 25.9% from long range, he's shown he's willing to take the shot and can potentially improve his shooting. As he grows in his NBA career, he could become more of a stretch four similar to Rasheed Wallace, but Wilson's speed and athleticism as a forward do parallel those of a player like Giannis Antetokounmpo, especially in his early years.Caleb Wilson has shown a superb above-the-rim game and is an active cutter to the basket when he's without the ball. He also demonstrates a good post-game that can be further refined with time, and athleticism that showcases itself in the fast break. He's also shown flashes of defensive prowess that can make him one of the better defenders in the NBA.But for now, Wilson looks to see what team he lands with as he continues to refine his game and study the greats.Although A.
