Cabot’s adoption of Intelligent Outcomes comes a year after the Beverly, Massachusetts-based wealth manager first switched operations to the core Ridgeline platform.Founded in 1983, Cabot Wealth Management currently manages approximately $1.2 billion in assets across roughly 1,800 accounts for high-net-worth clients, offering investment management, financial planning, and tax services in house. The firm has been live on Ridgeline’s unified platform for over a year, having consolidated CRM, trade order management, portfolio accounting, and client reporting that were previously handled across multiple disconnected systems.Get the latest headlines, breaking news and columns.By signing up you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc.A welcome email is on its way. After several years evaluating other technology, the choice was clear. “Ridgeline could take us into the future instead of just moving sideways,” said Sonia Ernst, Managing Partner at Cabot. From the beginning, the Cabot team viewed Ridgeline as a long-term partner, rather than a one-time software purchase. The idea of Ridgeline Intelligent Outcomes taking over management of some of its daily operations appealed as a way to free up capacity. When the firm’s sole reconciliation specialist left unexpectedly, Cabot faced a common key person conundrum: should they invest the time and resources to retrain someone new only to risk losing them? “We had been in that retraining mode for a few years,” Ernst said. “Our thought was, Ridgeline Intelligent Outcomes is definitely something we want to look at. And then we had an employee leave before we were expecting it.”The time was right for Cabot to deepen their partnership with Ridgeline, who now manages Cabot’s daily reconciliation across positions, cash, transactions, and related exceptions through a combination of in-platform AI agents and human oversight. To prepare for the switch, the Ridgeline team shadowed Cabot’s morning process until it was ready to run the process independently. The transition went smoothly, with no disruptions to Cabot’s operations.“Ridgeline Intelligent Outcomes will allow me and my team to be able to focus more on our clients, which is where the attention should be,” added Ernst. For Ernst, the appeal of Intelligent Outcomes extends well beyond a single process. This advertisement has not loaded yet. This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.“Software is not our business. Our clients are our business,” she said. “So Ridgeline is working behind the scenes to allow us to help our clients. The morning reconciliation is the tip of the iceberg for us. But potentially, there’s additional ways to outsource and partner with Ridgeline not just as software, but as a teammate.”“Sonia said it best: we’re proud to serve as a teammate to customers like Cabot, and Intelligent Outcomes provides further proof of how we’re innovating to support them,” said Dave Blair, CEO of Ridgeline. “When we step in as a seamless extension of their team, it takes work off their plates and eliminates operational bottlenecks so firms can spend time where it matters most.”Ernst is expected to share Cabot’s experience with Intelligent Outcomes at Ridgeline’s upcoming Base Camp customer conference in Carlsbad, California.Ridgeline is the AI-native investment management platform built on the idea that human talent is too valuable to do the work that technology could handle. With over $735B in assets committed to the platform, Ridgeline unifies the front, middle, and back office on a single, real-time platform so routine work happens quietly in the background. Ridgeline has teams in Lake Tahoe, New York, the Bay Area, Reno, and Dublin, and has been recognized by Forbes as a “Best Startup Employer,” by Global Financial Market Review for “Best Use of AI in Finance,” and by The Software Report as a “Top 100 Software Company.” Learn more at ridgeline.ai.Media contact: Christine Switzer Director, Marketing Content & Programs christine.switzer@ridgeline.aiNotice for the Postmedia NetworkThis website uses cookies to personalize your content (including ads), and allows us to analyze our traffic.
