Buy GTA 6 from O2 for just 5p a day even if you’re not a subscriber

| Games News Reporter Published September 21, 2026 11:53am Updated September 21, 2026 11:53am Obviously, you’re still paying for a digital code since there’s no physical version (Rockstar Games) If you’ve yet to pre-order GTA 6 because it’s too expensive, O2 has a special offer on the game that’s available to everyone. Although it doesn’t cost £100, as was rumoured, GTA 6 still isn’t what you’d call cheap. The standard edition is £70, which is the maximum for AAA video game nowadays, while the Ultimate Edition is £90. Not that the price tag has put most people off. In fact, the Ultimate Edition has been outselling the standard one, according to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. If putting £70 down for GTA 6 is a step too far for you, though, O2 has a special offer where you can pay for the game in instalments, which works out as less than 5p a day. You’ll still need to pay £20 up front but, as explained on O2’s website, you can then pay for the rest in monthly instalments of £1.39. Doing so will take 36 months, but it averages out as 4.6p a day. You can adjust the monthly payments to suit your preference. So, if you’re willing and able, you can pay £16.66 a month and cover your pre-order in just three months. Both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are available and there’s 0% interest, so you don’t have to worry about needing to pay more money over time. O2 isn’t even limiting the offer to its customers, meaning anyone is free to take advantage of it. One downside is that this only applies to the standard edition. O2 has no such offer on the Ultimate Edition, which throws in more content such as additional clothes for Jason and Lucia to wear, but pre-ordering does still net you the Vintage Vice City pack. A quick scout on O2’s website shows it has similar offers for other new releases, such as the PlayStation 5 exclusive Marvel’s Wolverine game, EA Sports FC 27, and the upcoming Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. However, O2’s EA Sports FC 27 pre-orders are only for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions, while Modern Warfare 4 pre-orders are only for the PlayStation 5 version. In other GTA 6 news, the game’s long rumoured online multiplayer mode remains elusive but is now believed to be launching in 2027, thanks to comments by the CEO of Twitch. Fans have also learned that Rockstar recently updated its guidelines for GTA mods and while some points are unsurprising (such as how mods aren’t allowed to be monetised), they are more restrictive than many other publishers. The first two rules explicitly ban any mods that ‘expand or modify Rockstar Games’ official storylines, plots, missions, characters, or other elements of our established continuity’ and mods that transfer assets and elements from other Rockstar games, such as Red Dead Redemption, into GTA games. GTA 6 is bound to be subjected to modding once it inevitably arrives on PC (Rockstar) Email gamecentral@metro.co.uk, leave a comment below, follow us on Twitter.
