Burglar breaks into Kim Kardashian’s $60million LA mansion and takes car for brazen joyride

A BRAZEN thief broke into Kim Kardashian’s £47million Hidden Hills mansion before allegedly stealing a car and taking it for a joyride around the neighbourhood. Cops raced to the sprawling estate at 3.45pm on Sunday after reports of a suspect who had forced his way inside and taken several items. One of Kim’s security guards realised the man was a burglar and immediately called the sheriff’s office, according to sources who spoke to TMZ. But the alleged intruder then brazenly jumped behind the wheel of a car belonging to one of Kim’s staff and tore off around the neighbourhood. Cops swarmed the star’s mega-mansion and surrounded the property before catching the suspect and taking him into custody. No weapons were found on the man and no injuries were reported following the dramatic break-in. Kim has been staying at a rental property with her children for the past few months while her sprawling home is transformed by renovations. Sources close to the billionaire told TMZ the suspect never actually gained entry into Kim’s home and that none of her belongings are being kept at the estate. Most read in Entertainment But the terrifying raid comes after Kim was famously targeted in a horrifying gunpoint robbery in Paris that left her traumatised. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was tracked down by a gang at a luxury apartment on Paris’ Rue Tronchet at around 2.30am on October 3, 2016. Dressed as police officers, the gang allegedly gained access to the complex after being unwittingly let in by a concierge. After handcuffing the porter, the robbers stormed upstairs to Kim’s flat, where she was sleeping. Two of the men allegedly held a gun to the reality star before tying her hands and locking her inside a bathroom. The terrifying raid saw more than £9million worth of jewellery stolen, including a £5million jewellery box and a ring valued at £3.5million. Kim had previously flaunted the dazzling stone in a revealing Instagram snap after her ex-husband, rapper Kanye West, bought her the upgraded 15-carat engagement ring. At least 17 people were arrested in connection with the shocking robbery. The cultural icon, who is now dating F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, has since stopped wearing jewellery and is unable to sleep without a bodyguard. In November 2016, it was reported that Kim was suffering from “nightmares and flashbacks” following the terrifying ordeal.
