The Hyperion Max 3 is built for faster training sessions and long runs, with plenty of cushioning underfoot without sacrificing a responsive ride.The Brooks Hyperion Max 3 normally retails for $200, but both the men’s and women’s running shoes are on sale for $149.95. The shoe combines DNA FLASH v2 cushioning with PEBA DNA GOLD cushioning and a nylon SpeedVault plate. That combination is designed to provide a springy feel and added propulsion with each stride.The Hyperion Max 3 also uses Brooks’ RapidRoll Rocker, a curved design that helps move the foot from heel to toe for quicker transitions. A lightweight mesh upper keeps the shoe breathable while providing a secure fit during faster workouts.Both the men’s and women’s Hyperion Max 3 have a 6mm midsole drop. The women’s version weighs 8.8 ounces, while the men’s weighs 9.9 ounces.Brooks lists the Hyperion Max 3 as best suited for training, workouts and long runs.
