And insiders said Brooklyn, 27, and Nicola, 31, now see this ceremony as the date they will celebrate – after their first wedding became mired in controversy, including claims that his mum Victoria “danced inappropriately” on him. A source added: “Brooklyn and Nicola’s first wedding in April 2022 is not an occasion they look back on fondly. “Nicola ended up in tears. It’s not something they want to be reminded of. Most read in TV “Their second wedding, where they renewed their vows last August with just her family and their friends, does hold so many happy memories however. “Going forwards, they’ve decided that this is the date they will celebrate publicly together.” Pointedly, Brooklyn failed to post a gushing anniversary Instagram tribute to American actress Nicola this April. In all the previous years since they wed, he has shared photographs from their 2022 wedding on his account. Nicola, who has never previously celebrated their official wedding anniversary on social media, chose to post a tribute to Brooklyn on the day they had their second ceremony. She shared a photograph of them kissing and said: “Happy anniversary my love. “You make life so beautiful. thank you for being the most amazing husband I could ever dream of.” Brooklyn shared his own tribute and added: “Happy anniversary Nicola. “I can’t tell you how much I love you. “You are my absolute princess and I promise to always protect you.” Comment now
