A POLL of 2,000 adults revealed the most annoying beauty issues, with plucking nose or ear hairs and overgrown leg hair among the top concerns. A spokesperson for Nivea which commissioned the research to mark the launch of its new body serum range, said: “The research shows there’s no shortage of complaints when it comes to self-care. With the hot weather revealed as the most common trigger for a frustrating beauty moment among a third of those polled via OnePoll. It also emerged that when it comes to beauty body care routines, 48 per cent take more time over them before a special occasion, while 27 per cent said the same of the summer months. Most read in The Sun But the morning non-negotiable beauty routine includes tooth brushing (61 per cent), showering (40 per cent) and applying lotion to their faces (34 per cent). On the flipside, 15 per cent claim they’ve gone back to their house after leaving once realising they forgot to spray perfume, while 11 per cent have returned after forgetting to moisturise themselves. But moisturising was also the most likely activity to be skipped due to lack of time to get ready. But in contrast, 25 per cent said they feel more ‘put together’ when they apply lotion to their body. With 37 per cent seeking a hydrating, quick absorbing (36 per cent) and smooth (32 per cent) feeling on their skin. Overall, 35 per cent feel more confident when they’ve carried out their full body care routine. A spokesperson for Nivea added: “The survey findings show the impact when it comes to self-care and finding the right moisturiser. “Being equipped with the right tools can build on someone’s confidence, when products are tailored to our different skin types and solve any ongoing irritations, they can be the difference between a good day and a bad day. “Having a routine can be a mindful practice but it can also be empowering and help build a sense of reassurance as you’re about to head out the door.” Comment now
