Brits are crashing out over the ‘correct’ amount of Weetabix to eat

A Weetabix fan has caused a stir online (Picture: Bloomberg via Getty Images) How many Weetabix is too many Weetabix? This is the question on everyone’s lips, thanks to a viral TikTok video with more than one million views. A woman named Mariah (@itssmf_1) sent the internet into absolute meltdown when she revealed that she usually ignores the serving suggestion on the box. Instead of eating two Weetabix as recommended, she admitted she usually eats seven of the wholegrain wheat cereal ‘biscuits’ in one sitting. In the clip, she says: ‘Whoever made this elite cereal, I just need to ask you a question… did you really think that two of these would be enough, cause I just use seven, naturally, but on the box it says two per serving.’ She continues: ‘I just wanna know who is using two Weetabix and that’s it?’ Thousands of people were left absolutely flabbergasted by Mariah’s confession, branding her breakfast ‘diabolical’ and ‘not ok’. ‘I audibly gasped when you said SEVEN,’ commented @aaronjerome__, as Orla (@orlad918) replied: ‘Seven Weetabix!!! She’s going to need a tsunami of milk to soak them FFS.’ ‘Sis… seven Weetabix in one sitting is diabolical,’ proclaimed @paidapass. Girl, are you making breakfast or cement?’ Others shared what they considered the ‘correct’ amount of Weetabix to be, and the consensus was that two to three is the sweet spot. The recommended serving suggestion is two of the cereal ‘biscuits’ (Picture: Getty Images) ‘If you said three, I would’ve stood by you, sister,’ wrote @tiffanyti_. ‘Three is too much, but two is not enough, so I do 2.5,’ @j.o.s.e.l.y.n.5 admitted. While AJ said they’d eat ‘three’ but only if ‘really hungry’, and @1auz06 added: ‘Two is actually fine.’ Not everyone was opposed to eating seven, though, with @dogyearss sharing that they usually consume ‘about 10’ Weetabix and @darrenlacey01 branding seven an ‘achievement’. Several people said six was their preference, while @__1192__ also opted for seven. How many Weetabix do you usually eat? We all know what it says on the Weetabix box, but is there actually a ‘correct’ amount of the cereal? According to a post on the brand’s website from 2020, they don’t recommend consuming more than four Weetabix biscuits per day. ‘Taking this amount will leave room for you to eat other foods and have some variety in your diet,’ they explain. However, when Metro asked Weetabix to settle the debate in 2026, the advice was a little more vague. A Weetabix spokesperson told us: ‘How many Weetabix biscuits make the perfect breakfast is a timeless debate – and we have to admit, seven in one sitting is certainly impressive! ‘Our recommended serving is two biscuits per person, in line with nutritional guidelines, but we know everyone has their own favourite way to enjoy their Weetabix.
