British supermarket giant is knocking 50% off cheese and butter until tomorrow – with Cathedral Cheddar for less than £2

SHOPPERS can save 50% on butter and cheese at a major supermarket this week – but they’ll have to be quick. The chain has launched a new promotion that allows customers to save on essential items, but it ends tomorrow (September 22). The promotion includes savings on 30 items and ends tomorrow Credit: SAINSBURY'S Sainsbury’s is offering half price savings on selected fridge favourites, including smoothies, vitamin drinks and yoghurts. This represents a saving of 50% off the normal price of £6.35. Also included in the promotion is Cathedral City Mature Cheddar Cheese, which normally costs £3.75 for 350g. This is being reduced to just £1.87 until tomorrow. A spokesperson for Sainsbury’s said: “As families settle back into September routines, Sainsbury’s is helping customers make their money go further with half price Nectar Prices on selected fridge favourites. “Whether it’s a wholesome breakfast, preparing packed lunches for the week ahead or stocking up on mealtime essentials, shoppers can enjoy great value on everyday favourites from popular brands including Müller, Philadelphia, Oatly and Innocent.” Other items slashed until tomorrow at all Sainsbury’s stores and online include classic breakfast items, with 50% knocked off the price of a four-pack of Muller Light Greek Style Yoghurts and 50% off Philadelphia Soft Cream Cheese Family Pack. Most read in Money The yoghurts normally retail for £2.50 but will cost just £1.25 when purchased with a Nectar card, while the cream cheese is dropping from £3.35 to £1.62 for the family pack.
