A BRITISH tourist has died after being pulled from the sea at a popular holiday hotspot. The man, 34, was rescued from the waters by beachgoers after getting into difficulty in Zante, Greece. Bystanders raised the alarm when they saw he was in trouble. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Once pulled ashore, he was immediately given CPR and life-saving first aid. The man was rushed to hospital by coast guard patrol boat in a critical condition. He later died at the General Hospital of Zakynthos. The circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated by the Zakynthos Port Authority. An autopsy into the mans death will be conducted. It comes as a 17-year-old British tourist died after diving into dangerous waters in Crete. Six lifeguards rushed to the scene and managed to pull one of the boys out from the rough waters. The second boy tragically drowned before he could be rescued.
