A BRIT tourist has died suddenly in a hotel in Crete. The 32-year-old holidaymaker was found dead in her hotel room by her horrified mum on the Greek holiday island. The mother immediately told hotel staff and paramedics rushed to try and revive her daughter. But the woman could not be saved and was declared dead at the scene. Authorities said the tourist had no known health problems before her sudden death. They launched an investigation into the death and ordered an autopsy. The Sun contacted the UK Foreign Office for comment. It comes after another Brit died after being pulled unconscious from the sea on the same island. Most read in The Sun The 60-year-old had been holidaying on the busy beach of Kato Gouves, in the east of Crete. The alarm was raised when he was spotted in the water and emergency services raced to the scene. He was taken to the nearby Venizelio Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Heraklion Port Authority ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of the tourist’s death. Just weeks earlier another Brit, 34, died after being pulled from the sea in critical condition in Greece. He was rescued from the waters after getting into difficulty in Zante. And in June a 17-year-old British tourist died after diving into dangerous waters in Crete. The teen was swimming in the sea when they suddenly started screaming for help in Chania in June. Six lifeguards rushed to the scene and managed to pull one of the boys out from the rough waters. But the second boy tragically drowned before he could be rescued. Comment now
