A 12-YEAR-OLD Brit girl has been found safe days after vanishing on a family holiday in Japan. Carmelita Lakdesha Paul has been located safe Credit: ANNnewsCH Officers spent days searching for her before she arrived alone and unharmed at a police phone box in Yokohama – 30 minutes south of Tokyo – at around 8pm on Saturday evening. The teen told officers she had visited an anime location and spent time at internet cafe but eventually began to miss her parents, according to Japan Today. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Once located, she was taken into protective custody to be reunited with her family. Carmelita arrived in Japan for sightseeing with her parents and older brother on July 21. Her family said they last saw her on August 12, at their Tokyo apartment but when they woke up the next morning she was gone. The schoolgirl was spotted walking through Tokyo’s Kamata district on CCTV footage that morning. She later boarded a train 20 minutes south to Yokohama Station, upon which police lost track of her whereabouts. Carmelita did not take her phone or passport and her family said she had no more than around £70 with her. Most read in The Sun Her father had spoken with her just the night before she went missing and said there was nothing suspicious about her behaviour. While police haven’t revealed any other details, except to say they do not believe any crime occurred.
