Brit dad, 44, dies on holiday with his heartbroken fiancee after falling ill on the day couple were due to fly home

A BRIT dad has died while on a romantic holiday in Cyprus, leaving his heartbroken fiancée scrambling to cover the cost of his funeral. In an emotional tribute, Kerry said: “Sadly, my fiancé Paulo Brockway fell ill the day we were due to fly home. “He passed away the following day. The send-off is forecast to cost around £7,000, with his body expected to be returned to the Welsh capital within seven to 10 days. Kerry said: “Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to us and would help us give Paulo the farewell he deserves. “I will love and miss you forever, Paulo. “Forever your broken-hearted fiancée, Kerry.” Paulo was an avid climber and leaves behind a son who is said to be “devastated” by the death of his father. Kerry continued: “His loss has also affected so many people who loved him, including his mum, sisters and brother, who are completely heartbroken. “His mum is struggling terribly to come to terms with losing her son.” It comes following a strikingly similar tragedy, when a British father suddenly died while on holiday in Cyprus in June. Jonas McDowall, 34, from Hemel Hempstead, left behind his devastated partner and their young eight-year-old daughter. His family set up a desperate appeal for help as they battled to cope with the shocking loss and the spiralling costs of bringing his body back to the UK.
