Brit, 43, arrested for attempted murder after ‘stabbing tourist, 21, in chest’ following row outside Magaluf nightclub

A BRITISH man is accused of stabbing a tourist in the chest after a row in a Magaluf club. The 43-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the incident in the Spanish party resort in the early hours of Saturday. They continued fighting after being thrown out by bouncers until the Brit is alleged to have pulled out a blade and stuck it in his chest. The victim lay on the ground bleeding profusely as the suspect fled the scene shortly after 5am. Police obtained a description of the suspect from witnesses and CCTV images showing his face and made the arrest hours later after an officer reportedly recognised the man held as the alleged knifeman. The Brit remained in custody this morning ahead of a court appearance. Meanwhile, his alleged victim is being treated in an intensive care unit at Son Espases Hospital in the Majorcan capital Palma. It was not immediately clear this morning if the unnamed Brit was a tourist or lived locally. Most read in The Sun The Magaluf stabbing happened on the same night that another Brit was arrested in Seville after a taxi driver was “stabbed 16 times” in the hands, arms, neck and shoulder blade. The stabbing was reportedly so brutal that the knife’s handle snapped off. The incident happened at around 2am at an industrial estate. Police tracked down the suspect and recovered the weapon after the cabbie drove to a local station covered in blood. Seville mayor Jose Luis Sanz said on X: “Thanks to our great Local Police for providing crucial assistance to this injured taxi driver, an act that I strongly condemn. “My support goes to the dear taxi driver, whose professionalism and skill in those moments I applaud. “A hug, likewise, to all his colleagues in the profession.” The unnamed Brit is expected to face an attempted murder charge.
