Brigitte Macron’s daughter, 42, finds love with student 20 years younger in echo of mum’s marriage to French president

BRIGITTE Macron’s daughter has fallen in love with a student 20 years younger than her – in a bizarre echo of her mum’s relationship with the French president. Tiphaine Auzière, 42, appeared head over heels for her new boyfriend, Antoine Lecomte, 22, in a social media picture of their Amsterdam holiday. The business student was working there as a kitesurfing instructor and eventually started teaching Tiphaine how to use an e-foil, a type of electric surfboard. Reports also indicate that Tiphaine has introduced Lecomte to her two children, Élise, 12, and Aurèle, 10. President Macron was a 15-year-old student when he first met Brigitte. Macron’s parents took him out of the school when their affair came to light. His mum, Francoise Nogues-Macron, previously said: “We just couldn’t believe it. “What is clear is that when Emmanuel met Brigitte, we couldn’t just say, ‘That’s great’.” She added: “What mattered to me was not the fact he was having a relationship with Brigitte but that he was alive and there weren’t any problems.” The president’s dad Jean-Michel said he “almost fell off his chair” after hearing the news. Tiphaine is one of Emmanuel’s three stepchildren from his marriage to Brigitte. The French president has no biological children of his own. Tiphaine was just nine when the affair between Emmanuel and Brigitte began. She said in 2018: “They were quite smitten and it was quite obvious between them and very difficult.” Brigitte’s daughter added that she and her siblings, Sébastien and Laurence, “suffered as little as possible” their parents split up in 2006. Macron married Brigitte when he was 29 and she was 54. Brigitte is reportedly ecstatic about her daughter’s new relationship, A source told Gala: “She reacted just like any mother would. All that matters to her is her daughter’s happiness, so she’s very happy to see her thriving. “She’ll be delighted to meet Antoine.” It comes after Tiphaine separated from her ex-partner Antoine Choteau in early 2025, after being together for 15 years.
