Brewers Fayre confirms closure date for ALL 89 restaurants as chain vanishes from UK – see full list of locations

THE exact date Brewers Fayre will shutter its entire estate of family- friendly restaurants has been revealed and it’s sooner than you may think. Punters have until Monday, September 7 to wave goodbye to their local branch before all 89 sites vanish forever. News of its mass closure has left diners distraught, with many describing it as a “big loss”. Anyone signed up to its reward system, which allows customers to earn points when they spend at a diner, to then be used as money off food, has until August 31 to use them up. It comes as part of a major overhaul launched by parent company and Premier Inn owner Whitbread. The move will also see the Beefeater and Bar + Block chains vanish, with both brands disappearing on September 10 and September 3 respectively. Back in April, Whitbread boss Dominic Paul said the firm was forced into the desperate overhaul “in light of significant cost increases” sparked by then Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ hike in National Insurance and business rates. Under the five-year survival plan, the firm will also sell off 110 sites and convert others into 600 new hotel rooms to save £250million.
