Breast Density Masking and Precision Screening

To the Editor In response to the recent Viewpoint on breast density masking and precision screening, we want to highlight the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)–supported Women’s Preventive Services guidelines, which include breast cancer screening for average-risk women. Under section 2713 of the Public Health Service Act, most private health insurance plans must cover HRSA’s recommended preventive services without patient cost sharing.
