Breaking: Suspected bird flu infection in red fox in metro Adelaide

SA authorities say they have five new suspected events of bird flu in the state, including a red fox in Osborne in metropolitan Adelaide and an Australian raven in Robe.South Australia's Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) included the fox in its latest bird flu update that detailed five new suspected bird flu "events".Samples have been sent to a national testing facility in Geelong for confirmation.It was one of five new suspected events in the state, which included an Australian raven and a little penguin on the Limestone Coast, a tern in Coonalpyn, and a Pacific gull on Kangaroo Island. South Australia currently has 41 suspected events under investigation, and 195 confirmed events since the first infection was detected in June.
