Breaking: Galaxy S26 series gets fifth One UI 9 beta with August security patches

There’s no clarity on the stable One UI 9 release for Galaxy S26 and older devices yet. Tipster Tarun Vats shared the news of the release through a post on X, which also included a changelog of the update. According to Vats, the fifth One UI 9 beta build, with a build number ending in ZZH6, is currently only live for Korea and India. Meanwhile, we’ve also spotted a coinciding build for the UK. The update weighs in at around 1,125MB.Per the changelog, the update focuses on addressing performance-related hiccups in several system apps, including Camera, Settings, and My Files. Along with these improvements, the update also brings security patches from August 2026.Aamir Siddiqui / Android Authority Here are all the changes and improvements the update brings: Improved issue where the app freezes or a white screen appears in some menus of the Settings app Improved issue where the speed is slow or a black screen appears when launching the camera widget on the lock screen Improved issue where the bottom floating bar is not displayed correctly while using the Phone app Improved issue where a blank screen is temporarily visible when entering the recent files list in the My Files app Improved issue where 1×1 size shortcuts are not added to the bottom bar of the home screen Improved issue where the preview screen position is misaligned or flickers in the Video Editor and Photo Editor Improved issue where the screen intermittently flickers in certain situations Fixed Wi-Fi connection errors and improved connection stability Since we’re already past the stable release stage for One UI 9, we hope Samsung opens the gate for the stable release for other devices soon, though there’s no official clarity on that.
