Breakdown: Purdue recruiting happenings Saturday in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. — To the delight of glassy-eyed and yawning college coaches and relief of those players fried from several straight weeks of evaluation-period basketball, the July open periods are just about over. Only a few games remain here in Rock Hill at the adidas 3SSB event, same as the Peach Jam in North Augusta, as the eval period closes Sunday. Purdue coach Matt Painter and associate head coach P.J. Thompson attended Saturday’s games at adidas, following 2027 commitment Kevin Savage and target Ahmed Nur, 2028 target Cole Kelly and a slew of potential 2029 targets.
