The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending full notification of relatives, was making his daily rounds on a motorcycle around 8:50 a.m. when he was flagged down and shot without provocation. Agitated and enraged, the suspect left his home, walked to the roadside with an improvised firearm, and targeted the unsuspecting vendor as he drove past. Responding police officers led by Capt. Gregorio Daguno III secured the crime scene while the Bukidnon Provincial Forensic Unit gathered physical evidence. The suspect fled toward nearby mountainous terrain immediately after the shooting.
