With five books now available, there are yet another five planned, with the high fantasy novel series taking place in Sanderson's broader Cosmere universe. Set on the stormy planet of Roshar, the story follows a diverse bunch of characters who must all fight an apocalyptic war whilst discovering ancient magical warriors known as the Knights Radiant. Created by Brotherwise Games, War for Roshar is an upcoming strategic board game set in Sanderson's incredible universe. Designed by John D Clair, it aims to capture the epic war across Roshar as players take control of leaders such as Dalinar, Kaladin, Raboniel, and Taravangian who must lead their armies into battle, all whilst managing champions, resources, and alliances. Now available as part of a Kickstarter campaign, War for Roshar's official description reads as follows: War for Roshar is an epic asymmetric strategy game in the tradition of Star Wars: Rebellion and War of the Ring. The Honor player will command the Coalition, recruiting Knights Radiant to fight a desperate battle against the relentless armies of Odium's forces. You'll begin with two leaders that determine your starting deck, then gain cards over the course of the game that unlock new armies, allies, and Surgebinding powers. Launching alongside premium components, stunning exclusive art, and a deep gameplay system, War for Roshar is "the definitive Stormlight game" and is set to launch some time in Fall 2026.
