Bradley Cooper Even Works Out in Good Jordans

The longtime sneakerhead pulled on an underrated model to hit the gym.Bradley Cooper has long been one of Hollywood’s biggest sneaker guys. He’s been spotted in the elusive Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High on multiple occasions. He’s got a well-loved pair of Riccardo Tisci x Nike Air Force 1s in his arsenal. And he even managed to cop the much-hyped Jacquemus x Nike Moon Shoe as soon as it dropped. These aren’t the sort of kicks you stumble across on your lunch break. While plenty of famous dudes wear sneakers because their stylist tells them to, the Maestro star has always come across as someone who actually enjoys the chase. For years, the sneaker conversation has revolved around the same stuff: impossible-to-win raffles, collections that sell out in seconds, and resale prices that make absolutely zero sense. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being about finding a pair you genuinely wanted to wear and started becoming a competition to own the rarest thing in the room. And that’s why Cooper’s latest choice feels especially refreshing.FJLON3/MegaWhile on his way to a workout in Paris yesterday, the actor stepped out in the Jordan CMFT Era. Introduced last summer, this silhouette takes familiar Jordan DNA and repackages it into something that’s designed for real life rather than a display shelf. It borrows elements from the Air Jordan 1 through the midfoot, mixes in details from the Air Jordan 6 around the heel and collar, and finishes everything with a breathable mesh upper, creamy suede overlays, and pops of orange throughout. Underfoot, foam cushioning keeps things nice and comfy from morning to night. And the timing just makes sense. As we’ve written before, the sneaker game is going through something of a creativity crisis. Grails that once felt impossible to own are restocking left, right, and center. Collabs don’t carry quite the same weight they did five years ago. Consumers have become pickier about where they spend their cash, and rightly so. If everything is a must-have, then nothing really is.That’s what makes the CMFT Era so appealing. It’s not trying to become the next $1,000 resale shoe or dominate your FYP. It’s just a solid, comfortable Jordan that looks good with pretty much everything. Judging by Bradley Cooper’s feet, that might be exactly what sneaker culture needs right now. This story originally appeared on British GQ.Sign up for Show Notes to get news on the latest runway shows, parties, and insider events on the international fashion circuit.Adam Cheung is a writer who specialises in sneakers and streetwear.
