Bradley Barcola’s starting Dream Team price revealed ahead of Liverpool transfer

LIVERPOOL are set to announce the signing of Bradley Barcola any moment now. Reports suggest the Reds have forked out as much as £120million to acquire the 23-year-old from PSG but the big question is: how much will he cost in Dream Team? The France international is expected to replace Cody Gakpo (£4.5m) on the left flank at Anfield as the Dutchman has been linked with both Tottenham and Manchester City this summer. This makes him a premium asset as only four midfielders cost more at the time of writing: Bruno Fernandes (£7m), Antoine Semenyo (£6m), Dominik Szoboszlai (£6m) and Bukayo Saka (£5.5m). Even so, Barcola contributed 13 goals and seven assists in all competitions, averaging a goal involvement every 142.4 minutes. In 2024/25, he amassed 21 goals and 21 assists at a rate of one contribution every 93 minutes. Sceptics will grumble about the standard of Ligue 1 but his Champions League record is perfectly respectable and he’s coming off the back an impressive World Cup. Barcola also has the necessary attributes to be a Dream Team sensation and it will be interesting to see how many gaffers recruit him at the first available opportunity. Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz (£5m) for £116m last summer and the widely-held expectation was that the gifted playmaker would hit the ground running but that proved overly optimistic. The German’s first 12 Premier League appearances passed without a goal or assist. By the end of this taxing initiation, his Dream Team popularity was almost entirely diminished. Whether Barcola will require a similar period of adjustment remains to be seen but Andoni Iraola will be hope he’s a quick learner.
