Barcola, 23, has played 152 times for the French giants since joining from Lyon in 2023, scoring 39 goals and contributing towards two Champions Leagues and three Ligue 1 titles. But he has struggled to nail down a regular first team spot amid competition with Ousmane Dembele, Desiree Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Liverpool have already brought in winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna but will be after more options amid doubt over Cody Gakpo’s future. Arsenal recently snapped up Newcastle talisman Bruno Guimaraes for around £75m but Arteta will need more attacking reinforcements as he bids to defend his title.
