NewsUK News A BOY, 14, was slashed with a pair of scissors after a fight erupted inside a supermarket. Cops arrested a man, 25, alongside the teenager following the shocking clash in Nottingham. Officers were called to a shop on Sneinton Dale at around 4.30pm yesterday following reports of disorder inside the shop. Two people were involved in a fight, during which a man reportedly picked up a pair of scissors. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! The teenager was then slashed with them leaving him injured. Though cops say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering. A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and affray. The 14-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of affray. Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould, of Nottinghamshire Police, said the incident would have been “very alarming” for anyone who witnessed it. She said: “While thankfully nobody sustained serious injuries in this incident, it will have no doubt been very alarming to anyone who witnessed it. Most read in The Sun “Our understanding is that a pair of scissors were used in the fight between two people, both of whom know each other. “As such, we’re confident that this was very much an isolated incident.” She added: “While we’ve made two arrests in connection with this, our inquiries are still very much ongoing, so we’d ask anyone with information to please share it with the police by calling 101, quoting incident 433 of 26 August 2026. “Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
