Officers raced to reports of a stabbing on Saturday evening in Rochdale, Greater Manchester after one diner said a group of youths stormed the fast-food restaurant. Greater Manchester Police has now arrested two teenage boys on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article. One man, who was their with his wife and children, told Manchester Evening News how a group of “around 20 to 25 youths ran in, some with knives”. The group then ran into the bathroom where he heard ” a load of crying and screaming”. David Lane said: “That’s when the lad got stabbed.” “I grabbed a load of napkins and put pressure on the wound. It looked like he lost a lot of blood. It was a hectic scene.” Images show the Taco Bell restaurant cordoned off with police tape as officers and ambulance crews descended on the scene. Mr Lane said the incident was “horrific” and that he’s children “shouldn’t have to see that”. “If it wasn’t for my actions, I think he would have died,” he added. A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing at 6.09pm on Riverside Walk. Boy, 13, taken to hospital with serious injuries. “Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article.
