Boy, 13, denies attempted murder of two pupils at north London school

A child who allegedly stabbed two pupils at a north-west London school has denied two counts of attempted murder.The 13-year-old boy, who cannot be named because of his age, is accused of launching an attack in front of numerous children and a teacher at Kingsbury High School in Brent, north-west London, on February 10.It is alleged the boy stabbed two boys in the neck, one in a classroom and another in the playground.The child spoke to confirm his identity and denied two counts of attempted murder in a plea and trial preparation hearing at the Old Bailey on Friday.“We have been talking about your case and I am afraid we haven’t always used straightforward language because we have been talking about some legal things which have to be covered in this kind of hearing,” Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb told the boy, who attended court by video-link.She added: “The important thing is that you cooperate with your lawyers.”The child was remanded into custody and his trial will start on November 23.
