Boy, 12, rushed to hospital with life-changing injuries after being hit by car as ‘drink & drug driver’ arrested

Police said the collision occurred in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, at around 7.50pm on Saturday. The crash was between a grey Mercedes AMG and a 12-year-old boy on Station Road. Thames Valley Police has arrested a 28-year-old man from Slough on suspicion of driving while over the alcohol and drug limit and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. They are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward. Investigating officer Sergeant Richard Martin of the Roads Policing Unit said: “This collision has left a young boy with serious, life-changing injuries and our thoughts are with him and his family at this incredibly difficult time. “We are carrying out a thorough investigation and are appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who saw a grey Mercedes AMG in the Station Road, High Street or Marlow Road areas before the incident, to please come forward. “Even the smallest detail could prove vital in helping us establish exactly what happened.
