It’s since withdrawn the claims and advertisement. Sapiens Labs also faced action over a misleading claim detected suo moto. The company submitted a response and withdrew all claims and advertisements linked to the issue.AMWAY REMOVES ‘100%’ FROM COCONUT OILAmway India Enterprises Private Limited was separately flagged for using the term “100% Pure Coconut Oil”. FSSAI said the claim violated provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, along with regulations governing food advertising and claims and its advisory on discontinuing the term “100” on food labels and promotional material. Amway confirmed that it had voluntarily removed “100%” from its packaging and promotional material. It also discontinued old stock from sales channels. Revised packaging has been finalised and is in production, with the new version expected to roll out progressively from September-October 2026. Website listings will also be updated.ENERGY DRINK’ CLAIM ALSO REMOVEDAmway was also flagged for using the term “Energy Drink” on a caffeinated beverage licenced under FCS-14.1.The company accepted FSSAI’s directions and removed the word “Energy” from its XS product range, including its product artwork, website and promotional material. The revised packaging will take effect from the next production cycle in August 2026.Amway has requested that existing stock carrying the older “Energy Drink” artwork be allowed to remain on sale until that inventory is exhausted through normal trade.BABY FOOD COMPANY AGREES TO REMOVE CLAIMSFSSAI also flagged Juza Foods, Malappuram, over several claims on its baby food products. These included “boost immunity”, “support stronger bones”, “easy to digest”, “100% Vegan” and “100%” claims for ingredients such as ragi, Kerala banana and sweet potato.The regulator also cited comparative claims such as “10x the calcium of wheat and rice” and “3X the calcium of Milk”. The company acknowledged the violations and agreed to remove the claims.Its website has been shut until rectification, while it has applied to modify its licence to include e-commerce.
