A bomb threat targeting multiple high-profile locations in Mumbai -- Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow Jalsa, the Bombay High Court and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) -- has put the city on alert.A threat e-mail was received by the court, warning of bomb attacks at the three locations, as well as the Worli Racecourse.Following the threat, the Mumbai Police have launched a probe and efforts are ongoing to identify the sender. Security agencies havealso been alerted. This is the second threat targeting Amitabh Bachchan. On October 22, a threat e-mail was sent to a school in the city, which named the veteran actor. At the time, authorities clarified that Bachchan had not received any direct threat. In the wake of the incident, Bachchan's customary Sunday appearance outside his Mumbai home took an unusual turn -- he stood behind a protective glass shield, with son Abhishek Bachchan by his side. The sight prompted the All Indian Cine Workers Association to seek Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention, raising concerns over the safety of Bollywood stars and their families. The latest incidents come amid heightened concerns over the safety of celebrities following the October 18 firing at actor Tiger Shroff's car, which was claimed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This week alone, actors Tusshar Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana received threats in the name of the Bishnoi gang. Police are still trying to ascertain the authenticity of the threat tapes.A 30-year-old Bengaluru-based IT engineer was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on Wednesday for sending the threats to Kapoor and Khurrana.Preliminary investigations have found no evidence of his links to theBishnoi gang.- Ends
