THE body of a model who vanished while on holiday in Belgrade was found stuffed inside a suitcase. Authorities believe he killed Turkova in the early hours of July 26 in a rented apartment in the Borca area. A missing persons appeal described the model as 5ft 1in with long blonde hair, a nose piercing and several distinctive tattoos. These included two snakes on her left thigh, a large design on her right leg and Japanese-style artwork across her shoulders. Turkova had travelled to Belgrade for a two-week holiday, but disappeared on July 25 after telling relatives she was going to meet some friends. She sent a final chilling message shortly after 11pm before going quiet, prompting a major search operation. A report said: “The body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, where the cause of her death will be determined after an autopsy.”
