Bodies of two young women pulled from water after diving in loch

Emergency services rushed to the scene at Loch Fyne in Argyll and Bute at around 3.30pm on Sunday following reports of a concern for two female divers. A Coastguard helicopter was also scrambled to check the water from above. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! A 26-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. And following further searches, the body of a 24-year-old woman was also recovered from the loch. Cops are treating both deaths as unexplained, with post-mortems set to take place in due course. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.30pm on Sunday, July 26, 2026, we were called Loch Fyne at St Catherines, Cairndow, following a report of concern for two female divers. “Emergency services attended and a 26-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. “Further searches were carried out in the water and the body of a 24-year-old woman was recovered.
