‘Bob’s Burgers’ to Unveil New Holiday Short ‘On the Fort Day of Christmas’ This Year on Hulu

‘Tis the season for “Bob’s Burgers,” which will return to the holidays with an all-new Christmas-themed short set to premiere on Hulu (and internationally for most Disney+ subscribers) later this year. Here’s the description for the short, titled “On the Fort Day of Christmas”: “a record-breaking Christmas snowstorm means one thing to the Belcher kids — a record-breaking Christmas snow fort.” At the “Bob’s Burgers” San Diego Comic-Con panel today, July 25 in Ballroom 20, Popular on Variety “Bob’s Burgers” creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard announced “On the Fort Day of Christmas” at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday during their panel. Also on the panel with were H. Jon Benjamin (Bob Belcher), John Roberts (Linda Belcher), Kristen Schaal (Louise Belcher), Eugene Mirman (Gene Belcher), Dan Mintz (Tina Belcher) and supervising director Bernard Derriman. “On the Fort Day of Christmas” reps the first exclusive short from “Bob’s Burgers” to be produced for Hulu. The series previously released the show “My Butt Has a Fever,” which premiered in theaters and later FXX in 2022. Other extensions of the hit series include “The Bob’s Burgers Movie,” which was also released in 2022. “Bob’s Burgers” is back for Season 17 on Fox in midseason (early 2027), and streams the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ (for bundle subscribers in the U.S.). 20th Television Animation is behind “Bob’s Burgers,” which was created and is executive produced by Loren Bouchard. Nora Smith, Dan Fybel, Rich Rinaldi, Jon Schroeder, Steven Davis, Scott Jacobson, Holly Schlesinger, Wendy Molyneux, Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Janelle Momary-Neely are also executive producers. The series was co-developed by Jim Dauterive.
