Witt also has an understanding of how baseball is a “game of adjustments,” which makes it challenging to get over the peaks and valleys.“And I think that that's what a lot of guys don't understand. I don't even really get it sometimes,” Witt said. “You just had two really good games, you did the exact same thing, and then you just fell off. But your body's always changing. Your body feels different. You're playing so many different games. And so it's just, how can you get yourself ready for whatever time the game is? And some things sometimes it has to change, whether it's your prep work, your cage routine, your whatever it is.
