BMW Championship 2026 betting tips, free bets and latest golf odds

There was always a chance the St Jude Classic would turn out the way it did – with Scottie Scheffler remembering why he is the undisputed world No1, and also remembering how to win. Scheffler’s eight shot victory last week earned him a cool $26.6million, with his $3.6million winner’s cheque supplemented by a guaranteed $23million FedEx Cup bonus. He cannot be caught as the leading FedEx Cup points scorer at the end of this week’s BMW Championship – even if he finishes stone last in St Louis . Some chance! Scheffler enters the BMW as defending champion, and as a red hot 100-30 favourite. With his winning mojo back, there is a good chance he could simply blow the opposition away again. Sign up for the Sport newsletter Thank you! But the event moves to a new venue, Bellerive, and despite his 11-2 win last week, anyone backing Scheffler every week would still be out of pocket this year. So let the weekly search for someone to take Scheffler down continue….. So he is no longer the automatic choice to challenge Scheffler’s dominance. But Wyndham Clark, twice a winner already this year, caught the eye again as he topped the putting stats. His game looks tailor made for Bellerive. At 28-1, we want him on our side. Matt Fitzpatrick is one of several players who may be feeling the effects of a tough year. He still battled into a share of 12th last week without his best stuff. At 22-1 it may be worth seeing if he has one more big week in him. Si Woo Kim, who continued his hot spell by charging into second place last week, looks over-priced at 25-1. Fellow Korean Sungjae Im justified each way support at 70-1 in Memphis, despite a closing 74, the worst effort by anyone in the top 25. Im held onto a share of fifth place, after sharing second spot through 54 holes. He is worth following again, especially at a readily available 66-1. Jake Knapp was another player who looked like there is still a fair bit of fuel in the tank in Memphis. He is also worth an interest, with some bookies offering 50-1. And 66-1 shot Alex Noren is another in-form player at a healthy price. Jeff Winther was not one of the three home players highlighted here when he won the Danish Golf Championship. But runner-up Rasmus Hojgaard and Jacob Skov Olesen gave us a good run for our money. Winther and Hojgaard are not teeing it up at this week’s Nexo Championship at the Trump International course in Scotland – but Olesen is, and he could easily improve on last week’s share of ninth. He claimed a share of third behind clear winner Grant Forrest here last year, and a 16-1 quote this time looks fair. Forrest’s poor current form is reflected in his 35-1 odds, and the in-form Ewen Ferguson – priced up at 22-1 – looks a far more likely contender to keep the title in Scotland. English pair Matthew Jordan and Marcus Armitage – who flattered to deceive in Denmark – would love to see off the home contingent. Both are worth a second look at 33-1. Brandon Stone is finding a bit of form, so an each way interest at 66-1 could prove profitable. And Frenchman Felix Mory – available at 150-1 – has shown signs recently that he is finally getting to grips with the step up from the HotelPlanner Tour. The LIV contingent head to Indianapolis for what will either be their final event – or the last chapter before the rebel tour comes back as a slimmed-down, far less lucrative version next year. Joaquinn Niemann has carried off more $4million winner’s cheques than any other LIV player – nine so far, after his comfortable victory in New York two weeks ago. He is 7-1 to make it to trouble figures, the same odds as Jon Rahm and Brtyson DeChambeau. But Tyrrell Hatton makes more appeal at a general 10-1. Marc Leishmann at 28-1 and 35-1 chance Scott Vincent could reward each way backers by pocketing a decent chunk while the big money is still on offer.
