Blueface swatted after caller falsely claims rapper killed girlfriend and tied up daughter

Authorities were investigating Wednesday after a hoax emergency call falsely claimed rapper Blueface had fatally shot his girlfriend, was high on drugs and had tied up their young daughter inside a Southern California home.Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies rushed to the home in Santa Clarita around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.The caller falsely alleged that Blueface, whose legal name is Johnathan Michael Porter, had killed his girlfriend while under the influence of drugs and restrained their daughter inside the house.Blueface performs with BIA at the Gobi Tent during the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at Empire Polo Club on April 18 (Getty)Deputies responded as if the threat were real, detaining everyone inside the home at gunpoint while they searched the property, according to reports from the scene.The incident took place while Blueface was livestreaming on Kick. After conducting what the sheriff's department described as a thorough investigation, authorities determined the allegations were completely unfounded. Authorities have not announced any arrests or identified a suspect.The rapper has made headlines recently thanks to his high-profile parental dispute with fellow rapper Chrisean Rock, according to XXL Magazine. Blueface has publicly denied that he is the father of Rock’s son. Blueface has repeatedly found himself in legal trouble over the past several years.The rapper, whose legal name is Johnathan Michael Porter, was released from prison on Nov. 3, 2025, after serving two years behind bars. His sentence followed a four-year prison term handed down in August 2024 in connection with a 2021 battery case and a probation violation.Porter was arrested on Jan. 12, 2024, for violating probation that had been imposed just months earlier. In October 2023, he was sentenced to three years' probation after pleading in a Las Vegas case stemming from an October 2022 shooting that resulted in attempted murder and firearms charges. He was first arrested in that case in November 2022.
