Bloomington airport project close to take-off thanks to federal dollars
U.S. Rep. Darin LaHood has secured $1.5 million in federal funding for an airport project that will create a cargo road off Airport Road, which will direct truck traffic away from local drivers and towards the FedEx building, the Central Illinois Regional Airports biggest employer, but an additional $3 million is needed to complete the project.
