Bloodthirsty Thea exacts the next stage in her plan to obliterate mum Kim in Emmerdale

There’s no stopping her (Picture: ITV) DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) has had a right old rollercoaster of it with her biological mum Kim Tate (Claire King) in Emmerdale. One minute she wants to frame Kim for Jimmy’s (Nick Miles) death, the next she wants to play happy families, and then back to plotting her untimely demise. Thea’s fickleness would quite frankly be an embarrassment to her mother. After being hellbent on revenge for weeks, Thea thawed a bit after a moment with Kim at a graveside helped her see Kim’s softer side. She even went as far as toying with the idea of coming clean with Kim and telling her who she is. That moment passed though when she overheard Kim flippantly telling Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) that baby Tate was being packed off to social services without a second thought. And this time she plans to destroy Kim in a way she never sees coming – by being nice. Thea catches Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) drink driving and has a standoff with him before he can do himself any damage. When she wins that fight, she takes Joe home, where Kim is gushingly grateful for Thea’s help. All part of the plan. Kim is later pulled over by police, and it’s Thea who arrives to her rescue – telling the coppers to let her go. Kim’s even more overcome with gratitude and drives away thankful for Thea’s intervention. Thea enlightens Serena Sugden (Casey Al Shaqsy) on her new scheme to make Kim think she’s got her back before she wallops her with part 2 of the plan. Serena is worried – Thea is getting dark with her revenge and Serena worries it’ll all end in tears. Most likely Thea’s tears when she ends up behind bars for killing Kim, or something just as dramatic.
