Ryan Reynolds Confirms Marvel Return After Deadpool & WolverineRyan Reynolds put in maximum effort to have family time during San Diego Comic-Con 2026. In fact, the Deadpool star had a FaceTime call with wife Blake Lively and their 3-year-old son Olin while dressed in a denim version of his superhero costume. Lively posted a screenshot from the sweet call on her Instagram Story July 26, showing Reynolds with Deadpool's mask, as Olin—who the couple share along with daughters James, 11, Inez, 9, and Betty, 6—held up a picture book. "When you're reading a Captain America book," the Gossip Girl alum wrote in the caption, "and you get interrupted by a FaceTime from Dad." Olin, whose face was blocked out by a bear emoji, wore green striped pajamas while Lively donned a colorful banded button-down top. The mother-son duo looked cozy while snuggled in bed together. But Lively and Olin weren't the only ones surprised by Reynolds that day. After all, many Comic-Con attendees had no idea they were rubbing elbows with the actor as well. "Yesterday, 10 years after the first film and exactly 2 years after Deadpool & Wolverine," Reynolds wrote on Instagram July 26, sharing a video of himself in disguise while snapping selfies with unsuspecting guests, "I felt so lucky to be on the #SDCC floor with everyone whose unapologetic devotion brings so much joy to this world."He continued, "No handlers, no security, no ropes. WHAT A GIFT." And it was a heartwarming stunt approved by Lively, who re-shared the video with the caption, "My kind of LOL SURPRISE."Blake Lively/InstagramReynolds even crashed the Marvel panel while wearing his Canadian tuxedo-inspired costume, quipping to the Avengers: Doomsday cast from the audience during a fan Q&A section, "When do you start filming?" After Robert Downey Jr. told him that the movie is "in the can, bro," Reynolds—who's involvement in the upcoming Avengers installment has not been announced—joked back, "So there’s no additional photography, no overages, maybe last-minute additions?"Blake Lively/InstagramAnd while it's still unclear if Deadpool will be teaming up with Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu and more to save the world from Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom character, Reynolds recently confirmed that there will be another stand-alone film featuring his wisecracking anti-hero. "There’s eventually, remotely another Deadpool film," he told the crowd at Fanatics Fest earlier this month. "It’s going to be great."
