Blackstone Plans $7 Billion IPO of Spanish Resort Owner Hotel Investment Partners: Report

Skift Take After nearly two years of weighing a sale, the private equity giant is reportedly steering the Barcelona-based owner of hotels and resorts across the Mediterranean toward a Madrid listing this fall. Blackstone is preparing to take Hotel Investment Partners (HIP) public on the Spanish stock exchange in an IPO at a value of at least $6.9 billion (€6 billion to €7 billion), financial daily Cinco Días reported. The listing for the 61-hotel portfolio is targeted for late October or early November, with a filing expected at Spain's securities regulator in early October, according to the report.
