In the video, he said: “Mr. Narayanaswamy, you can choose whichever item you want. Try cutting even a single party worker into just one piece and show us.”He also called upon Congress and NSUI workers across Karnataka to place similar orders for knives and cutters to the BJP leader’s residence. Mr. Ganesh claimed that he had shared Mr. Narayanaswamy’s residential address and mobile phone number online to enable others to participate in the campaign. He warned the BJP leader against harming any Congress worker and challenging him to act on his alleged remarks. BJP seeks FIRThe BJP approached the police over the incident, demanding criminal proceedings against those responsible and the cancellation of quick-commerce platform operational licence.A delegation headed by Karnataka BJP president B.Y. Vijayendra, accompanied by Leader of Opposition in Assembly R. Ashok, Mr. Narayanaswamy and other senior party leaders, met Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh at his office and submitted a formal complaint. The complaint alleged that orders for knives had been placed through quick ecommerce apps using 10 to 20 different mobile phone numbers. It further claimed that around eight to 10 NSUI workers assembled outside Mr. Narayanaswamy’s residence after the deliveries, gathered near the main entrance and attempted to intimidate him and create fear.Questioning how potentially dangerous items could be delivered without sufficient verification and safety checks, the BJP sought the cancellation of licence to operate a quick ecommerce app.The complaint included a list of mobile numbers allegedly used to place the orders and identified individuals suspected to be involved in the incident. The BJP delegation sought the immediate registration of a First Information Report (FIR) and a detailed investigation. Published - November 07, 2026 06:19 pm IST
