BJMP gives playful reply after user asked for ‘available units’

INQUIRER FILE PHOTO MANILA, Philippines — “This is a reminder that the BJMP’s jail facilities are not a hotel.” This was the playful reply posted by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) on its social media on Friday after a social media user apparently sent a wrong message to the agency’s Baguio City Jail Female Dormitory. Embed: Article continues after this advertisement The BJMP did not name the user, but, in a comment under the post, assured that it had sought their permission to post a screenshot of the exchange. The bureau joked that the user was looking for a “staycation.” “Nonetheless, we continue to work to make our facilities safe, secure and sanitary to ensure the orderly and humane care of our PDLs, in line with the mandate of the BJMP.
