Bizarre moment driver dressed as Spider-Man rushes to the rescue of man in wheelchair struggling across busy road

THIS is the mind-boggling moment a driver dressed as Spider-Man rushes out of his vehicle to help a struggling man cross the road. Moments later, Hellenthal can be seen dashing out of his car in full costume. He gets behind the wheelchair and pushes it rapidly to safety. The man got out of his car in the middle of the highway Credit: Jonesboro Police Deparment He dashed back to his car after the save Hellenthal said of the ordeal: “I had a bunch of adrenaline pumping through me. “I was just kind of thinking, ‘I’m wearing this suit; it’s gonna be pretty funny’.” The clip of Hellenthal, a life-long superhero fan who has met Marvel and Spider-Man creator Stan Lee, was viewed nearly 2 million times after Jonesboro cops uploaded the footage. They said: “We were able to spot this little web of kindness on our intersection cameras. He told WWNY: “Seeing it for the first time, I just have to tell you, it was, on the one hand, heartwarming. “On the other hand, it was comical to me because he’s one of our employees, you know? “And he shot out so quick, I thought, it’s more like Flash than Spider-Man!” Magel said the heartwarming moment was a reminder that real-life superheroes do exist. He added: “It’s just good to see anyone in today’s day and time doing something nice for someone else.” Hellenthal said he hopes to inspire the next generation with his love of comics and kindhearted spirit. “I met Stan Lee when I was real young,” he said. “I always thought that whenever I get older, if I could just put on a suit and make some little kid believe that he saw the real one, that maybe he’d turn out to be a good person.” Comment now
